NVQ LEVEL2 IN IT
Course Overview
This qualification is suitable for those working in companies whose main business is IT, or for those responsible for IT in businesses of any type or size.
NWT offers NVQs in IT at levels 2,3 and 4. NVQs assess an individual’s ability to carry out their job competently and professionally. Employers benefit from knowing that employees have the skills and aptitude they need to effectively manage this key part of any business, while employees receive recognition for their talents and a genuinely progressive structure to their training.
NVQs in IT are based on a modular points system. We will work with employee and employer to select the modules which best suit the individual’s current role as well as the needs of the business. We also choose the methods of assessment which best suit the indivdual’s learning style.
A wide range of modules are available, including systems management and security, customer care, fault diagnosis and many more.
Teaching Methods
This is an entirely work-based assessment. Our assessors visit candidates in their place of work to review their achievements and abilities. Normally a candidate would also be expected to complete an additional 2 hours of work per week, and collect evidence of their competence in order to compile a portfolio.
Duration
Normally around 6 months.
Course Location
The assessor will assess their candidates in their work place.
Costs / Funding
We can help you obtain funding, subject to eligibility.
