New Deal is designed for people of all ages and situations who are unemployed. The programme is designed to help individuals to find a job or get the skills they need to get back into work.
NWT’s personal advisers will help you to examine the skills you have and select the right path for you. We have experience working with people from all walks of life and in all kinds of circumstances and can advise you on a wide variety of possible routes. We also have close links with local employers, and can help you find, and apply for, suitable vacancies.
There are a number of New Deal programmes to suit different circumstances:
New Deal 25 Plus
New Deal 50 Plus
New Deal for Disabled People
New Deal for Lone Parents
New Deal for Musicians
New Deal for Partners
New Deal for Young People
All the courses provide opportunities for training and work experience, as well as help looking for employment. If needed, we can provide guidance on filling forms, preparing for interviews and provide additional support when you start work.
New Deal is compulsory for some people to ensure they can continue to claim Jobseeker’s Allowance or other benefits, but can also be embarked upon voluntarily, subject to eligibility.
