An Apprenticeship is a structured programme of training designed for those aged 16-19 as an introduction to the workplace. It’s the ideal start for young people who want to get into the world of work without abandoning their studies, allowing candidates to be paid while studying for nationally recognised qualifications.
Most Apprenticeships require the candidate to work towards an NVQ, which NWT will tailor to match the position they are training for. As part of the Apprenticeship, trainees may also gain other certification such as a Technical Certificate or CLAiT qualification.
North Wessex Training offer a variety of subjects including:
Customer Services
Business and Administration
Advice and Guidance
Apprenticeship programmes are designed to test not only current knowledge, but also the skills needed to meet future business challenges. All courses also include a Health and Safety aspect.
The content of each course depends very much on the candidate’s specific job role. Before starting the course, we meet with both employer and employee to ensure the course is designed to both their needs. We also ensure that both parties are fully committed to the programme, as a substantial time commitment is needed to successfully complete it.
We can help you obtain funding for Apprenticeships, subject to eligibility.
